sorry about the really shitty quality. i had to upload a smaller file since i've got really bad internet service atm.
another term illustration, i've got some other works i did but those are a bit more to the fashion illustration side, not fashion plates at all.
this term's collection was a tribute to movement. initially inspired by greecian nymphs, because they look so ethreal when they dance, i centered my work in the different movements in dancing throughout the different eras such as the flappers and flamenco dancing. one of the integral part of the collection is the use of hoop structures. i think it has a nice graceful movement to it, despite it being restricting.
this is different from my colourful palattes i usually run too, more nudes, whites and darks. well i think it has to do with the fact that i got a greyish linen to work with. made the 3rd one, oh it was a pain.
i was surprised to see Alexander McQueen and Dolce and Gabanna do hoops as well! i did my assessment a few days before their collections came out and i was thrilled. haha. i wish i could predict trends, apparently there's god money in it. but for now i'll focus on trying to start them myself. haha someone shoot me.
