so, i've finally come out of my rock and watched avengers. and surprisingly, i thought i'd be getting all these loki "feels" everyone was talking about, but i felt none! it's not because i've hardened my fangirl heart, if that exists, but it's due to the fact that i love all of them equally. even phil coulson. especially phil coulson. i hope he didn't actually die.
i'll be starting with loki, cuz well, i reckon he was the only reason i'd have for watching avengers in the first place. i'm not making excuses for him, i know everyone's like "poor neglected lil bro" drama, but tbh, he didn't even have it that bad. ok he was used by allfather but he was raised as royalty, and that's saying something being hannibal lecter as daddy. and to some extent thor really does care about him.
so i'll happily settle with a hornyderanged hitleresque character so long as he gets to keep the accent.
on to the design. it's more polished than my other loki fashion plate here: [link] i suppose i've taken more time to resolve design problems. i've also noticed while watching the movie that loki's costume has that sash sort of thing, and it highlights the assymetrical balance of his costume. actually once you notice that you'll see that the black leather skirt thing isn't exactly symmetrical as well which is a contrast from thor's classical formal balanced garb.
a classmate did this wicked weaving thing for her prototype, it was gorgeous. which is also my inspiration for this. the black and green satin combo are weaved together. with it being more tight in the bodice and loosely braided else where.
and no horn. i can't stand it. and besides, he doesn't need the horns to be horny. pun intended.
